Wednesday 14th September King of Diamonds Shirebrook. Sovereign & The Vibes.
Support band "The Vibes" struck up to entertain a decent size crowd, mainly made up of Warsopians, with a selection of familiar covers and a couple of original numbers. This was by far the best performance so far from The Vibes with Brad hitting all the right notes on lead vocals and Bass Guitarist Ash showing he also has the ear for the harmonies. Look forward to hearing this develop at future gigs lads.
Main act Sovereign were on stage for 9.30 ish and pumped out an hours worth of solid Metal. Sovereign are unrecognisable from the band that I saw at the beginning of the year. Individually they have obviously been putting in the work to improve as much as they have, as a band they are incredibly tight and well rehearsed. I make no secret that Metal's not my bag but Sovereign kept my attention because what they did was done so well. Quick mention for Goffy who treated the headbangers to some extra solo's, watch out Shredder we've got our own pocket rocket! I reckon his dad ought to buy him a proper Gibson now! Well done lads, keep it going.
